Basic recipe – overnight oats preparation
The basic recipe for overnight oats is very simple and basically consists of only two ingredients. However, you are welcome to create your own variations and be inspired by our other overnight oats recipes.
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons rolled oats (approx. 45g)
- 80ml water, milk or a plant-based alternative such as almond milk, rice milk, etc.
Preparation:
- Put the water, milk or plant-based alternative together with the oats in a glass and stir well.
- Put your mixture in the fridge overnight or for at least two hours. This will properly soak the oats and give them their delicious consistency.
- The next day, take your overnight oats out of the fridge and give them a good stir.
- You can add your favorite toppings as you wish. A little honey or agave syrup is a popular choice.
